Now I am not one to attend many big fly fishing events. I feel that they are a bit of a who's who, and more so "Who do YOU know?" events. This was definitely not the case for the OGR. In between workshops was lots of brotherly love among guides. Lot's of jokes and laughs, oh and long fish tales. The dress code for the event was a bit of a mix of flip flops, plaid fishing shirts, and trucker hats with various logos. This clothing selection was not quite the Orvis we all grew up with. As a matter of fact, the only piece of Tweed to be seen in Missoula was that of Tim Johnson and he wore it with pride!
"Why would guys that live and breath fish, and fishing, want to watch several hours of fishing movies?"
Well hun, it's because we are passionate about what we do.
